ICC ProgramsICC Dental Sealant ProjectIn 2001 the ICC took on the task to organize and plan the annual dental sealant project. This program was initially started by a group of professional dentists and hygienists in 1998 before being managed by the ICC. The program provides free dental screenings, hygiene instructions and dental sealants to children from the Central Texas area. This one-day event usually takes place in the month of February and in conjunction with the American Dental Association's National Children's Dental Health Month. Throughout the years, the program has proven to be cost effective and very successful. Its purpose is to assist eligibility workers in determining eligibility for Medicaid, SSI, SCHIP, and other federal and state programs for low-income individuals. The ICC has contracted with Network Sciences LLC to customize the tool with the addition of criteria for eligibility for Title V, Title XX, and MAP funding, as well as COA Sliding Scale, Seton Care Plus, and Project Access eligibility. In addition to assisting in the determination of public funding eligibility, these customizations will make it possible for the ICC members to direct patients to whichever charity care program or programs they desire at any given time. As of October 2004 over 101,600 patients had been screened and 10% were found to be eligible for third party reimbursement, which suggests that over $7 million in uncaptured revenue could be available to ICC members. http://www.medicaider.com/Williamson CountyHELPLINE (512-248-3252 OR 1-800-890-6296) serves as a telephone entry point for screening and counseling for the health care and social services delivery system in the county, and is recognized by the Texas State Information & Referral Network as the I & R Center for Williamson County. Two key programs are:
