The Integrated Care Collaboration (ICC) has long been a leader in developing and maintaining a health information exchange (HIE) network in the Central Texas region. The ICC has been providing Health Information Exchange services since 2002 via the ICareT System and has demonstrated its commitment to provide private, secure and reliable HIE services to all of our region's patients and providers. The ICC is currently developing the next generation ICare (ICare 2.0) platform, based on proven, open-source HIE technology. The ICare HIE is recognized by ONC and the State of Texas as a regional Texas Health Information Exchange.
What are the benefits of participating in an HIE?
You do not have to be on an EHR to participate in the ICC HIE. The ICC HIE will be providing alternative means to exchange patient data and enable ePrescribing and electronic lab ordering/results receipt.
What will it cost me to exchange data through the ICC?The ICC is not seeking any payments or money from your organization for your participation in ICC HIE services*. ( *If new interfaces are required to connect your organization to the ICARE 2.0 HIE, some costs may be incurred )
Why the ICC?
Joining the ICC HIE does not prevent you from participating in an HIE with any other organization or bind you to any exclusive activities with the ICC.
What if I don't have an Electronic Health Record (EHR) System? You do not have to be on an EHR to participate in the ICC HIE. The ICC HIE will be providing alternative means to exchange patient data and enable ePrescribing and electronic lab ordering/results receipt.
